Ahhhhh it’s here folks. Can you feel it? One of my favorite places to experience Spring is right here in Destin Florida. Just like that the winter is over and it’s time to dust off those rods and reels, fuel up the boat, break out the sunscreen and get after the fish! The air smells like the sea and the sun makes your skin feel tight…spring in Destin is a student on break, a seafood restaurant chefs blank canvas, a time of opportunity for each and every local and fisherman’s answered prayer for the long winter to finally give up the ghost.

For our fishermen: March is a great time to get out into the Gulf to wet a line. The Sheepshead fishing is fantastic near the rocks closest to the pass and the Spanish mackerel will make their appearance in no time. Vermillion snapper are also quite prevalent over the nearshore rubble. March fishing is great across the board here in Northwest Florida and is the beginning of new opportunity for experienced fisherman and novices alike.
